My Bio:
It all began for me when I was six years old.   My grandfather took me up in the mountains near home and let me shoot his single shot bolt action .410 at an old coffee can.  I missed the can by a mile but I was hooked on guns. |

I went on my first hunting trip when I was eight years old with my Dad, Grandfather, and Uncle.  We went squirrel hunting on a cousin's land.  I shot at several but never connected.  I was then  hooked on hunting and have been ever since.

I shot my first big game animal at the age of sixteen.  It was a whitetail doe but I don’t think I could have been any more excited than I was that day.  I took my first buck the next hunting season. It was a small four-point.  Like most young hunters, I didn’t have any antler restriction that I imposed on myself.  If I saw any visible antler on a deer’s head, I shot it.  I was like that for a very long time and I shot a lot of bucks over the years that were one and a half years old.  Now I am in my middle years and I strive to take only mature animals.

I am very fortunate to have been able to hunt quite a lot in other locations other than my home state of Alabama.  I started going on guided hunts at the age of eighteen.  I am now thirty-four and I have been on thirty-five guided and do it your self out of state hunts.  I have hunted from Alaska to the Eastern Cape of South Africa.  I have also hunted in three provinces in Canada.  In all, I have taken thirty-one species to include several sub-species of game animals from the various locations that I have hunted.

I still have many goals in my hunting career.  I also am very much looking forward to the day that my young children are old enough to enjoy hunting with me here at home and abroad.  Our children are indeed the future of this sport that we share a deep love for and I hope that my children will be able to enjoy hunting in some of the same exotic locations that I have had the pleasure of hunting.

My Bio:
I’m 39 years old and for the last 15 years I’ve been married to a very understanding woman named Sherry Williams.  She is the one that keeps our home running smoothly when I’m away hunting.  Our two sons named Jake 9 years old and Justin 5 complete my family.

I was lucky to have a Dad that introduced me to the outdoors.  Our many fishing trips to Logan Martin and area lakes are among my favorite childhood memories.  While bass, crappie and stripers were enough to satisfy my dad, I longed for more.  I wanted to hunt.  My hunting career began hunting deer with my two uncles.  I was in heaven, finally hunting big game, but I always dreamed of the wild places of the world and hunting the animals that live there.  Since taking my first deer 23 years ago, I have embarked on a hunting career that has taken me from the rain forest of southeastern Alaska, throughout the U.S., across Canada and to the Dark Continent of Africa.

This past deer season yielded the greatest thrill of my hunting life.  On November 12, 2005, I sat beside my oldest son Jake, then 8 years old when he shot his first deer.  What a moment!   The look in his eyes confirmed what I had already suspected: There was another hunter in the family.  It took me back to the day when I stood over my first deer.
