About the Founders

Now that hunting season is winding down we need to get your photos and articles in here. We are about to put out another issue and we need both pictures and articles. If you killed anything this year and have a picture, send it in to us. You don't have to write an article about the trophy, just tell us a little about the hunt.

Southeastern Trophy Hunters had a great year this past year and it was because of you. We would like to thank all of you that supported us in 2007. There were many great trophies taken this past year by our members and we would like to congratulate you on those animals. Just after the first of April, you should receive the next issue of Southeastern Trophy Hunters. We have been a little behind this year, but our organization revolves around you the member and we have had some trouble getting articles sent in to us. Also, look for some great hunts that we have lined up after the first of the year. We have several great hunts that we are planning and some discounted hunts. I have listed a few hunts below and they will fill up fast. If you want a spot, let us know ASAP!

We have a few whitetail deer hunts lined up for Indiana in November 2008. Contact us for details on that hunt.

STH is hosting a membership hunt in Brown/Pike/Schuyler Counties in Illinois. We had 10 spots on this hunt and we only have 1 left. The hunt is for the 2nd firearm season and is a 4-day hunt that can be with either shotgun or muzzleloader. The hunt includes semi-guided hunting on private ground, meals, and lodging. The cost of the hunt is $1650 for 2008 and the license $260 and is almost guaranteed. If you are interested in hunting the Midwest's best hunting grounds, let us know quick. These spots won't last long.

We have two openings for a brown bear - black bear combo hunt in September 2008. The cost of the hunt is $8750 and that includes infield airfare, fully guided 2 on 1 hunting, one (1) brown and (3) black bears. The only thing you have to do is buy your license, get to Anchorage, and cover any hotel cost before and after the trip. The outfitter expects 100% success on this trip.

We have several members that have been asking about hunting across the big pond so we are working on that. It looks like we are going to host a trip to New Zealand for red stag, chamois, tahr, and fallow deer in June 2009. We can handle up to 10 hunters and 6 non-hunters on this trip. If you are interested in this hunt let us know because we only have 2-3 openings on that hunt at this time.

Yours in Hunting/Fishing,

Keith O'Neal
